ΔTrace Labs Tracing delta, funding and risk across on-chain perpetual markets.

Bringing market structure into on-chain markets.

Trading, process and market research

ΔTrace Labs applies market-structure analysis to cryptocurrency, DeFi and on-chain perpetual markets. It is a trading-and-research practice, not a fund, broker, exchange or advisory business.

Research covers market structure, risk, and the mechanics of perpetual markets. The output is data and process, not marketing slogans, signals or invented performance.

Key areas of focus

Where process is specified before a market is chosen.

01

Market structure first

Asset-neutral / instrument-neutral process

Work starts from how an instrument clears, not from a preferred token. The process is asset-neutral: funding mechanics, inventory, basis and venue microstructure are specified first, then applied to on-chain perpetual markets. A method should travel across names without being rewritten around a single-asset story.

02

Market research and backtests

Volume, seasonality, correlation

Recent work covers Korean-market volume analysis, observed seasonality, KOSPI-crypto correlation, and ongoing liquidation-map analysis across perpetual venues. Notes are educational. They are not investment advice and they do not recommend trades. Historical or simulated results are not a live track record.

03

Prop-firm constraint optimisation

On-chain capital access

The mission is to develop strategies that make on-chain capital more accessible. Risk parameters are specified to industry-standard proprietary-trading constraints: 6% maximum drawdown and 3% daily loss. Evaluation venues are not employers or affiliates.

Featured note

The Thursday-open pattern is real, and mostly arithmetic

If Thursday closes above Monday’s open, the week finishes above that open about four times in five, across six Binance markets, and it holds out of sample. The pattern is real and stable. Most of the jump from a coin flip is what you get by asking whether a week that is already up stays up. After that arithmetic, what is left is too small to call an edge.

Educational · six Binance markets · 2017–2026

The pattern holds. The catch is how you read it.

Recent · session clocks

When Binance is actually busy

The Korea-premium story implies a surge in Seoul hours. On this Binance tape, Korean cash is a quiet stretch. Volume waits for New York, and the handoff spike is London’s open, not the KRX close. The clocks, and the 15-minute bar that actually moves.

Recent · QuantConnect

Bitcoin is not digital gold on this tape

Eleven years of daily returns, and the typical 90-day link is noise. Correlation shows up when a shared shock hits both, including on Bitcoin crash days, when gold moved with it, not against it. The hedge story is the thing being tested.

Recent · QuantConnect

The Korea-and-dollar story is a tail story

On ordinary days Bitcoin barely tracks Korean equities and barely tracks the dollar. Crash years and USD spikes are where the relationship lives, and this sample has no usable lead-lag. The folklore is in the tails, not the typical session.
